Lola's is entering out 8th year of business under the ownership of Todd and Darcy Arthur for a total of 10 years Lola's has been serving the community of Brighton.
Established by Linda Bain, Lola's was founded on the premise of serving Organic Fair Trade Coffee and Espresso drinks with fresh home made food. In June of 2008, when Todd and Darcy purchased Lola's, they believed in this business model and continued to expand the offerings of homemade food, baking and the best Coffee & Espresso around!
For 7 years after the aquisition of Lola's, the Arthurs were able to continue to operate the business in it's original location at 78 Main Street. This was a quaint spot and the customers came from far and wide. The year of 2015 brought many changes, the building was sold and Lola's was asked to leave. For the month of June 2015, the fate of Lola's hung in the balance as did the fate of our local Chamber of Commerce and Tourism office which was directly next door to Lola's. With a stroke of luck for Lola's and changes for the Chamber of Commerce, Lola's was able to secure it's new location in the Chamber of Commerce location. No moving trucks were required after a month of extensive renovations which saw an almost 1200 square foot office space transformed into what has been described as an urban & chic, trendy cafe right next door to its original roots.
The move to 74 Main Street has afforded many advantages to Lola's and owners Todd and Darcy could not be happier with the more functional space that is full of sunshine, warmth and a panoramic view of Main Street. Starting from scratch to design the new space has granted Lola's the ability to now offer even more of the great food and baking you have always enjoyed, while adding fresh juices, smoothies and salads.
"We believe that having access to healthy food is important, that is why we pride ourselves on using the freshest ingredients; non gmo and organic whenever possible. Gluten free, vegan, paleo....no problem, we ensure there is always something for everyone. Our food philosophy is to serve our customers the foods we would serve our own family and to support local producers and farmers." ~Todd & Darcy Arthur
